Q&A with Angus Hayes - Fit Out Project Managers in demand

There’s always a good bit of office chat and banter in the mornings as the JV team arrives and gets setup for the work day. On Monday, I was having the usual chat up with Angus Hayes – Recruitment Consultant for the Industrial, Fit Out and Refurb sectors.

After the “how was your weekend chat”, we got on to the topic of what roles he’s been actively recruiting for over the last few months and has he spotted any trends. He straight away said “Fit Out Project Managers are in high demand”. It turns out a number of Angus’s clients are looking for experienced Fit Out Project Managers.

With the challenges the construction sector has been through over the last two years due to COVID shut downs, and restrictions, demand for projects to be done asap hasn’t been higher for a long, long time. The knock-on effect of this, combined with a shortage of construction professionals in the job market, has led to Fit Out Project Managers being highly sort after, along with a number of other blue and white collar construction roles.

Angus and I decided to sit down with the video camera rolling to discuss the market for Fit Out Project Managers and dive into the details of a high priority Fit Out Project Manager role he’s currently sourcing candidates for. Check out the video below:

Here’s a recap some of the key aspects of the Fit Out Project Manager role Angus discusses in this video:
