A growing and respected construction firm who have developed a steadfast reputation for delivering high quality projects on time, and within budget. Their collaborative approach has allowed them to develop strong client relationships and grow the business to over 100 dedicated construction professionals. They work across commercial, industrial, hospitality, and high-end multi-residential with the latter being a real key area of growth for the business at the moment.

The Role

As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management across the organisation. This crucial role will see you develop and implement robust safety systems, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation. You will also play a key role in fostering a strong safety culture and promoting a positive and safe working environment for all employees.

About You

  • Ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Certificate IV in WHS. 
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in health and safety roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
