Celebrating 2017 as a team in Hobart

JV Recruitment • December 13, 2017
On Saturday the team at JV packed a small overnight bag and boarded a flight to Hobart. The occasion was for our Christmas party to celebrate a busy year as a team, in addition, to enjoy each other’s company – especially having all of the labour hire staff, permanent recruiters, accounts, OHS, HR and support staff all together.

2017 has been a busy year for JV, and with the construction and logistics verticals in Melbourne on fire, it has resulted in the JV team growing in numbers and also working as hard as ever to service all of our clients and candidates.

After heading to Sydney in 2015, our Director Stuart Campbell decided that Hobart was the destination for 2017.

With a lot of planning and logistics completed, a significant task itself made harder by constant internal hires throughout 2017, the team met at the airport early Saturday morning and headed to The Apple Isle.

Upon arriving we were picked up by bus and taken to explore the Salamanca markets.

After the markets, the bus took us to the famous Cascade Brewery in which we did the tour. It was outstanding and its history very interesting. We then had lunch at the brewery restaurant and sampled a few of Cascade’s finest ales.

Free time proceeded before we all met up for dinner at The Drunken Admiral which is one of Hobart's iconic restaurants. The team shared a great meal before Stuart got up for his annual bake.

After dinner, a few of the team headed up to explore the Hobart nightlife, and it was no surprise that these explorers had a bit of a headache on the flight home on Sunday!

Overall the trip was a great success and the team at JV came closer together as we gear up for another year. Our commitment to being Melbourne’s premier permanent, contract and labour hire recruitment company in Melbourne remains our focus.
