Candidate story - Martin
Fast forward to today, I gave Martin a call to see how he's going - and he had great news. He has been promoted to a Site Manager and has been going from strength to strength - even through the pandemic.
Hearing his great news, this inspired me to share his story.
Martin is proof that even in these unusual times with COVID-19 affecting our normal way of life, there are still opportunities for career progression. It's been through nothing short of hard work that Martin has been promoted - and it's well deserved.
The point of sharing Martin's story from a year ago to now, is to say:
- If you're struggling through the Melbourne lockdown, keep pushing.
- If you're chasing that promotion, keep pushing.
- And if you're like the many thousands who've been stood down or lost their jobs, keep pushing.
While times are tough, maintaining focus and drive will eventually get you where you want to be. Take Martin - a promotion during a pandemic and a lockdown. Opportunities are out there. You've got to keep pushing.
